The club are shocked and heartbroken to learn of the passing of our dedicated committee member Christine Fish who passed away suddenly on holiday in the West Indies last week.
Whilst predominantly a bowling section member, as with most clubs, committee members’ roles nearly always cross over areas outside of their remit and Christine was certainly no exception. Her tireless dedication made her a crucial committee member to both bowling and cricket sections and was instrumental in modernising our financial section in support of our Treasurer.
Christine’s love of bowling, along with her beloved husband Roy - who is also on the committee - was unquestionable but she always supported the Cricket side too with her roots with son Jason who captained the second team through a crucial transitional period. Christine and Roy also supported grandson James with sponsorship and her warm, approachable personality touched almost every regular member who passed through the club. She leaves behind not just Jason and his wife Lisa, but also daughter Rachel and granddaughter Courtney.
We’d like to place our deepest sympathies with the Fish family in their grief. Christine, you’ll be missed by all.
