Top indie acoustic act Carl Morris comes to the club on Saturday 2nd July for a set of Britpop, mod and rock n roll classics.
Seasoned solo artist Carl has crafted a brilliant live show over the past two decades. He started playing guitar at 17, influenced by his parents Motown, soul and Bowie records. He evolved his set around the burgeoning Madchester and Britpop scene to become one of local music’s leading musicians. Carl is one of the most hardworking artists around and is a huge hit in mod events, scooter rallies and indie all-dayers and plays pubs and clubs almost weekly.
Expect to hear bonafide classics from The Who, Oasis, The Beatles, Small Faces, The Jam, Stone Roses and The Smiths amongst one or two of his own tunes and DJ Jamie will be adding some support playing some indie anthems before and after Carl’s set.
Carl is on stage at 8pm and playing two 45 minute sets. Free entry to all and families are more than welcome! Don’t forget, social membership can be bought on the night which entitles you to free drinks offers the more drinks you consume.
