The club can announce that they have retained the services of prolific trio Mosun Hussain, Adnan Ghani and Nayyar Abbas for the upcoming season.
The three players were all heavily involved in runs and wickets last season, which unfortunately wasn’t enough to avoid relegation with a slightly unbalanced side. To retain players of this quality was an absolute priority which puts us in a good position to continue the good form at the end of last season where we won the final three matches (vs Hoylandswaine, Scholes and Moorlands).
Popular pace bowler Ghani and left-arm spinner Abbas - also the clubs overseas player - had brilliant debut seasons where they took a colossal 139 wickets between them in all competitions. Opening batsman Mosun Hussain will commence his seventh season with the club where he has developed an intimidating reputation as one of the league’s leading batsmen and has scored over 6,000 runs including 14 centuries in that time.
The club would like to thank the three players for their ongoing loyalty and hunger to help us aim for promotion this season.
